Ok, I know I said I was going to update on Friday, but, stuff happened. I had to clean up my room, do a massive pile of dishes, and run errands before my mom got here on Friday. Plus, I made lasagna for everyone. They said it was really good, so yay! And then I spent Saturday at the mall having a mom funded shopping expedition, and we had to fight all the stupid ass people in the mall. Don't buy stuff if you aren't going to have enough money to pay for it all. This stupid woman in front of us in this long line brought all her bras up. The sales clerk then tells her she gets a free one because she was buying 2, so she runs over to get another one. Then, they ring everything up, and she doesn't have enough, so they had to fiddle around with figuring out what to take off. I swear, my mom and I were ready to strangle the woman.
On the plus side, I got 2 new pairs of jeans from Express. They were buy one pair, get the second for $20, and their jeans are about $48, so of course I got the second pair. I'm getting the second pair shipped to me because only in the other color I wanted did they not have my size. Alas, I don't get to wear either pair til after Christmas. My mom took them, along with some dress socks I got at Lerner's, saying they're Christmas presents and I'll find them under the tree. *Grumble* I whined about that to no avail. She took them anyhow. I got a black sweater to wear with my dress for graduation. It's cute. I was going to buy one of those bras that don't have a back strap OR shoulder straps, because my dress has sort of spaghetti straps and is open in the back with this criss cross pattern, but it's only good for one time use and they wanted $25 for it! I was like, no way. So, I'll have to go to the mall with the dress this week and try on some of those bras that strap on around your lower back and see if they won't show.
Me, my mom, Babita, Brooke, Katherine, and Eric, and Amy all stayed up until 4 AM on Friday playing taboo. Much fun was had. We ended up going through the whole box of cards on one side and tied, 178-178. I spent Saturday night and this morning packing up most of my stuff. Not that I really brought that much stuff with me. I sent a car full of boxes home with my mom and all I really have left is my computer, tv, vcr, a few pieces of clothing (I only kept enough to last me until Saturday), some books, and my chair. I have 2 finals, one on Wednesday, the other on Thursday, and then Graduation is on Saturday morning at 9. I have to be there at 7:30 AM! That's just too damn early. Me, mom, grandma, my sister, my aunt and uncle, and Kristin are all going out to dinner on Friday to celebrate. Whee! I'm excited about graduation, but I still don't think it's hit me yet. I'm applying to the Air Force still, but that is still up in the air, dependent upon if I pass my physical and get accepted. And if I get in, I still probably won't be leaving until March at the earliest. if I don't get in, I'll get a job somewhere and apply to grad school to go for a Master's in Public Affairs. I'd like to go up north somewhere if that happens. I was looking at NYU and Columbia to name a few. I think I have the GPA to get in, a 3.71, but I'd need to take maybe macroeconomics and also the GRE, the Graduate exam, before I applied. So I think because everything is still up in the air that I'm not worried. But woo! No more school! At least for a while. ;-)
So, 12 DAYS LEFT!! WOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited. I just hope it doesn't snow until after I get to New York so my plane doesn't get delayed. I can't wait. My mom was like, you're more excited about this trip than you are about coming home. And I was like, DUH. Eeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!! I get more excited everyday. I feel like I won't be able to sleep the night before I leave. Which, I really need to sleep, considering I have to get up at 2:30 AM so I can leave my house by 4 to be at the airport by 5 to get my flight out at 7. Lol. Anyone confused? ;-) I need to get there early to make sure they're aren't any problems, especially with all the holiday travelers. I'm taking both our digital camera and our regular one, so expect to see lots of pictures. And yes Jenn, this entry is here just to make you more jealous. ;-) *hugs*
If only I had won the lottery, you all would be coming to NY too. 4 people won the 100 million. Stupid other people. I only got 3 numbers, but that should get me between $5 and $10, so yay! Some is better than nothing. I won't be online at all Friday or Saturday, since I'll be moving and graduating. And probably not much on Wednesday and Thursday because of finals. I'll probably do one last post before Christmas or before I leave.
